Panning for Gold at Hocking Hills KOA
This campground is in a beautiful location, with well-maintained grounds. The front office was friendly and efficient, and the camp store reasonable stocked. The bathrooms were large and clean. Overall, a great experience.
I was pleased with my recent stay. We usually stay in one of the surrounding state parks but were attending a special event. We also just usually stay at Journey type KOAs while traveling, but we have now found a great destination KOA! Sites were terrific; bathrooms were very clean, numerous, and updated; pool was nice; activities were fun; and the staff was top notch!
Very nice kamp ground, close to all the local attractions. Kamp sites are pretty level and easy to access. Heated pool, extra clean showers and bathrooms – both men’s and women’s. Kamp store with a variety of interesting items, plus they have a grill and pizza oven. Best homemade fudge, ever!!! Family friendly and pet friendly. Kamp personnel are frequently riding through which really helps to prevent problems and makes them more accessible if you need them. Very nice place, I highly recommend staying. We plan to come back soon!
Decided to tent camp for the weekend and see the sights very nice and friendly campground they have every thing you could need at the store at a fair price . pizza and sandwich shop .they also deliver pizza to your site awesome!! also very close to all the attractions we will go back . Also pet friendly Great job koa.
I have been camping for 50+ years and this is the absolute best campground! The bathrooms are as nice if not nicer then a hotel . Ceramic and very very clean. The staff is extremely friendly. They deliver pizza, ice and wood to your site. I have read reviews where others complained about the bumpy road. Most expressways are have far more bumps!
This place feels like home to my family and I! My husband and I actually stumbled across Hocking Hills KOA almost 3 years ago while searching for a place to tent camp during a chilly October weekend. They had an opening, and we booked! It just so happens that it was during their Annual Chili Cook-off and Trick-or-Treat weekend. Our son (4 years old at the time) had a blast Trick-or-Treating around the tents, cabins, and campers. Almost everyone decorates their sites and participates! My husband and I were thrilled with the quaint atmosphere, friendly staff and campers, and all of the fun activities to do throughout the weekend. They have very clean and well-maintained facilities, lots of different options for food, and plenty of fun things for kids and adults alike. When we left, I said we were going to make this our new family tradition. And so we have! Last year, I participated in the Chili cook-off and took home first prize! And we are literally counting down the minutes until we can get back “home” again this year (only seven more days!) I can’t say enough about this campground, and we’re so happy to have such an incredible place to share with our son and make lasting family memories. By far my most favorite camping experience ever.
We spent this past weekend at the Hocking Hillls KOA! Very friendly & helpful staff!! We just had a pop up camper and I haven’t been camping for a lot of years and I had a Great Weekend even with the rain. One suggestion… Need a Rest room a little closer to the end of the lanes for those middle of night trips for those of us that don’t have facilities in our camper. We look forward to coming back soon! Thanks! The Miller Family from Dayton, Ohio.
This was our first visit to Logan/KOA and we will definitely come back. The campground facility is keep very clean and the staff here is very helpful. One morning one of the staff members was even driving around handing out dog treats to all of the dogs that were out. We stayed in one of the deluxe sites and this made our stay extra comfortable. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
Best bath houses of any campground we have visited, very nice people. Be careful tho, no speed limit posted anywhere from entrance to office and if ya drive around 25mph someone will complain, how about putting up a sign… Beautiful sites and did I mention the bathhouses??? At night the darkness is awesome, the only thing that would make this place perfect is if they rented golf carts. O’yeah, watch out for the upgrade guy. They have this guy who drives you around showing you the available sites, then he hits ya with the best most private site next to a haunted graveyard. And yes there is a extra cost. Lol. Bottom line, Awesome people, awesome place. If in the area you must stop in and stay a few days. O’yeah, the pool is awesome.
We stayed in Kamping Kabin #4 and love it and the campground. Beautiful setting in the Hocking Hills region just a couple miles from the state park. Nice sites, staggered and multiple elevations create privacy. Clean restroom/bathhouse with AC, secure wifi everywhere, nice store with food (pizza, burgers, etc.), friendly, responsive staff, woodsy / grassy setting, great pool. Great Sunday church service with “Pastor Tony” who brought a great message. (Encouraging to see 14 or so attending.) For trailer folks, awesome, leveled pull thru sites, many with full patios and grills. Also some great, private spots for tents and pop-ups. Visitors using the facilities (tenters, pop-ups, Kamping Kabins) will be delighted with beautiful air conditioned restrooms and showers – ceramic tiled, comfortable and private showers, nice sink area…) Overall, highly recommended. One of the nicest campgrounds ever – and we’ve seen many. Six stars!
This campground was simply amazing! Very clean and staff was super friendly. Our stay was great stayed 3 nights in an electric tent site in the back. The first night we were completely secluded. The second night one family came to the area but was on the other side so still very secluded. The pool was awesome and we had a yummy pizza delivered right to the pool! I recommend staying at KOA:)
We were camping with another family, and the owners of this KOA went out of their way to put us together after they noticed we shared a last name! We were very grateful for this, it made things so much easier for all the kids to be together. The only issue we had the entire weekend was the location of our tent. Freak storm drenched the area and our tent was in a super slippery spot. I fell multiple times just trying to get to it. We were allowed to relocate across the small road with no issues. We LOVED this KOA so much that we’re planning a longer trip at another KOA, and I’m sure we will return to this one in the future.
Awesome place right here. We left another place due to bad experience and were going to head home. But luckily I searched and found KOA. Wow. This place really has it all. Food, clean bathrooms they smell like bleach, graveled sites with picnic tables and fire pits, heated pool and lots of other fun things for kids! The staff couldn’t be friendlier. Wonderful people working here. Thank you KOA for hosting us and keeping this a nice place for memories. We plan to come back in sept with family too! Awesome and so happy we stayed.
What a warm greeting by the staff! We told them our name (we reserved online) and they took us to our campsite to set up before checking in just to speed up the process. The sites have good tree cover so you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of a field. The restrooms and showers are first rate and clean. The store is well equipped with the necessities ( including ice cream and fudge). They delivered firewood to our site. Very convenient location to areas of interest. We will definitely be back.
This was one of the nicest campground we have ever stayed at… And definitely THE nicest KOA were have ever been to. The pool was very clean and heated, staff was friendly, bathrooms were spotless very nice, they even had homemade fudge at the store and movies to rent for a dollar. The view is spectacular as it is at the top of a huge hill and there were tons of fun activities for the kids. Our campsite actually had some green space around it(which is rare at private places) and there was a large grassy area for the kids to play football with some friends they met. The only warning I will give is that the approach road going up to the campground is a bit rough although they tell you it is a township issue so there isn’t much they can do about it same your just have to take it slow. We would go back in a minute and hope to do so soon!
